Gnocchi and Basilico pasta sauce

Gnocchi and basilico pasta sauce is a classic Italian dish that's quick and easy to make, yet absolutely delicious. The vegetarian recipe features our fantastic Filippo Berio Basilico (Basil) pasta sauce, made with natural Ligurian basil and bursting with authentic Italian tomato flavours. The basil gives the sauce a refreshing and aromatic taste that perfectly complements the fluffy gnocchi pasta. Perfect for any occasion, whether you're in a hurry and need a quick meal, or simply craving something tasty and satisfying. To prepare, simply cook the gnocchi pasta, add the sauce, and you're done! It's that simple.

  • Filippo Berio Basilico Pasta Sauce
  • 250g Gnocchi
  • 125g mozarella
  • Basil leaves for garnish


  1. Heat oven to 180C fan / 200C
  2. Empty 250g of gnocchi (half a typical bag) into a heatproof bowl
  3. Stir in a jar of Filippo Berio Basilico Pasta Sauce
  4. Cut half a block of mozzarella (about 125g) into small chunks and dot these over the dish, spacing them evenly
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes, until the gnocchi are cooked through and beginning to brown

Cooks tips

Serve immediately and decorate with basil leaves for garnish
