Gluts & Gluttony Supper Club – 24th May

This year food writer and cook Kathy Slack, founder of award-winning blog Gluts & Gluttony and formerly of Daylesford Cookery School, will launch a seasonal pop-up supper club on the last Friday of every month to showcase the harvests from her organic kitchen garden. Kathy says:

“For the past couple of years, I’ve been hosting a few ad hoc supper clubs at different locations, but I’ve always wanted to do something more regular. I’m so thrilled to be launching this new venture in the beautiful Tea Set Café.”

The menu will be a feast of 4 courses with veg at the centre. It’s not vegetarian, but veg is the star of the show, supported by the seasonal ingredients from local producers.

On the night guests will be welcomed with a seasonal cocktail and nibbles before sitting down at the communal table to a meal piled high on sharing platters full of vibrant colours and flavours. Throughout the evening Kathy will talk about the food – how it’s grown and cooked – and to top it off guests will leave with a Filippo Berio goody bag!

About Kathy:

After 12 years as a brand strategist for London advertising agencies, the fun had been had and the rat race was taking its toll. Kathy quit. With no idea what to do next. But rural life beckoned and, as well as starting her blog (Gluts & Gluttony) she took a job growing vegetables at Daylesford organic farm in Kingham, Gloucestershire and later working in the cookery school. 3 years, several placements and lots of training later, G&G has grown into a full time venture through which Kathy teaches private cookery classes and public ones
