Cena Sarda

The full experience of a traditional Sardinian meal served round a large dining table.
From the antipasti of meats and some of Mario’s own cheeses right through to the Mirto liqueur and pastries, if you still have room!
In between comes pasta dishes from Mario’s family’s recipes and perhaps roast suckling pig with delicious crispy crackling served with Mediterranean style vegetables and potatoes.

As an alternative, some months Mario serves a fish menu.
This is the same format but each course includes fish, the pasta may be in a fish sauce and the main course fresh fish cooked in his famous Sardinian style.
Of course, if required, Mario is happy to change anything to suit individual dietary requirements.

All this is served in the relaxed Italian way, there is plenty to eat but the evening is long and as he tells his guests “Slowly slowly…” And, hopefully, you will still have room for a delicious Tiramisu before your coffee.

Please bring your own wine to compliment the meal, they are only too pleased to chill it for you on arrival.

After dessert, Mario will join you for a digestivo & a chat about what you have just eaten, or any other subject, but especially food and wine!

Places are £35 per person, with a £10 deposit.
