The Rutland Charcuterie company specialises in making salamis and air-dried meats, made with three core values at their heart: provenance, excellent animal welfare standards and, of course, great taste.  They share their motto ‘Multum in Parvo’ – Latin for for ‘much in little’ with their home county of Rutland and, for them, this sentiment is the essence of charcuterie – intensifying meat into flavourful, artisanal products that are truly delicious.

After living in France for a number of years, founder of the Rutland Charcuterie Company, Nick Brake fell in love with the variety of delicious charcuterie available, bringing it back to the UK whenever he could. Nick became increasingly frustrated that British charcuterie was not more readily available in this country, despite the UK having the best livestock in the world, the highest animal welfare standards and, now, the technology to produce charcuterie products every bit the equal from the continent. Hence the idea of the ‘Rutland Charcuterie Company’ was born in 2014, putting British Charcuterie on the map!
